Where And What ....KERTAGOSA

Where and what Kertagosa is? ..
 Kertagosa is one tourist attraction located in the central city of Klungkung regency, Bali, approximately 40 km away from Denpasar. Kertagosa is one of the ancient buildings / palace or castle, founded in the reign of the first Klungkung king, Dewa Agung Jambe namely, in the 17th century. Dewa Agung Jambe  is the second son of Dalem Dimade, the last king in the kingdom Gelgel  which is also called Suweca Pura . Once Dewa Agung Jambe become King of Klungkung, then he made the palace of  Klungkung named Semara Pura that have meaning "Place of Love and Beauty." In this palace there Kertagosa complex consisting of two main buildings, namely building Kertagosa  and Gili Park. Where there are buildings on the west side gate known as the Great Pemedal which is the main entrance of Castle Semarapura. Kertagosa also a meeting place of kings and court officials to discuss everything related to security, prosperity and justice kingdom of Klungkung -Bali . 
Kertagosa building consists of two buildings which is called Bale Kertagosa and Bale Kambang . Called Bale Kambang because this building is surrounded by a pool of Taman Gili by a row of giant statues .. The uniqueness of this Kambang Bale building is bale ceiling is decorated with paintings depicting traditional Kamasan Wayang, philosophy Hindu culture that has a story about life, the law of karma phala, divination and philosophy of life. Both buildings are to function also as a means of education for the community through puppet paintings drawn on the ceiling of the building. The story in paint is about the story of Bima Swarga ,Tantri  that showed about the law of karma phala, and reincarnation into the world of the story because of sins and deeds during life on earth.BaleKertagosa  was use for court at time the kingdom era . where the king as supreme judge. At present all items including chairs royal relic which has been renovated still in place such as its position at the time of the kingdom first.So the magical atmosphere and royal authority are still felt in this place.
